My Three Kilts "Eleven" Self-released
Release date: 2012
Running time: 30:31, 11 tracks
My Three Kilts, a.k.a. M3K, is a four piece band hailing from Elroy, NC. Robert Eaton (vocals, guitar), Shane Anderson (Vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin), Scott Ervin (vocals, bass) and Andy Pacheco (drums) play a sort of a pub music with a punk twist. “Eleven” is their debut album, eleven tracks on which the band follows a similar approach to that of The Stubby Shillelaghs, but backed by a rocking rhythm section.
The album is quite enjoyable, sometimes a little bit rough at the edges, but I guess that it’s exactly what we want from a live band, don’t we? My fave tracks are obviously those on which the punk elements are stronger. For instance, “Captain Sully” with an energy à la Dropkick Murphys, or “Jamesy”, a catchy song with the spirit of Blood or Whiskey debut album. Other highlights on the album are the sing-a-long “Maggie’s Ass”, “Hooley in Elroy” or the Scottish number “The Braes of Killiecrankie”.
"Eleven" can be purchased from CDbaby and you can also listen to the songs at Spotify.
Tracklist:
1. Nancy Whiskey 2:1
2. Jamesy 2:04
3. Cooter Brown 2:54
4. Dublin O'Shea 2:43
5. Cap'n Sully and the Seaunts (Haht Fahts) 1:45
