The Jack Ratts are preparing all the Irish classics in time for their St Patricks day celebrations.

The series of dates will start with a local gig @ The Anvil in Bournemouth on 1st March, the ‘St Paddy’s Day Whiskey Warmer’ with smashing folk punk maestro’s Smokey Bastard from Reading & kicking local Celtic Rock band Black Water County.

Then two further dates ‘The Rocky Road to Weymouth’ (Saturday 8th March @ The Lugger Inn) and Southampton ‘St Patrick’s Day Weekend Special’ (Saturday 15th March @ The Lord Nelson) will be traditionally Irish based & lead nicely up to the Jack Ratts grand finale…

On top of all these shows, and our crazy schedules, we have been recording our brand new full length record, No Man's War, at Berkley Sound with San Diego's very own Jeff Berkley.  We just wanted to let everyone know that everything is right on schedule for our tentative late May release (more info TBA)!   We will release the cover, done by the amazing Jose Pimienta, the week after St. Patty's and hopefully announcing some more big news on the album by the first week of April.   We finish up official tracking this weekend and then off to mixing and mastering.  We are so excited to share with you our best recorded effort yet.  Stay tuned!

The 1st PUMP JUMP's guests will be the Psycho Mutans from Pécs playing western-swing, and the Mississippi Big Beat bringing blues basis spiced with modern electric sound effects. The three bands have already driven their audience into unrestrained jumpin' with their suggestive music and diction in several festivals and clubs. THE DREADNOUGHTS IN AMIENS (FRANCE)

At the beginning of March I got an e-mail from a French e-friend telling me about his project:

"I'm working on a project with a few friends. We're trying to make Celtic punk/rock bands come to play in Northern France since, you know, except from a few of them France is one of these countries many of these bands seem to avoid."

The gig's at Mannions Prince Arthur and is Tottenhams premier Irish boozer and is only 5 minutes walk from Seven Sisters tube station on the Victoria line.(when you arrive at Seven Sisters tube follow the signs on the platform for the buses. When you leave the barriers check the signs again for Broad Lane and when you leave the station that's the road that runs alongside the Tesco. Mannions is just a wee walk and is painted green and cannot be missed)

Doors open at 8.bands at 9.open till 2 at least or maybe later, depends on the landlord!

Celtic-punk disco after the bands, playing anything Irish we can think of!

It's also guaranteed to be the cheapest pint you'll drink at a gig in ages!

Need to publicise this gig far and wide as we need a decent crowd to pay the bands a fair whack. Remember this all DIY so we make no money.All money goes to pay the PA and the bands.
