"We have been working on our first album for more than one year and we are about to get it. Many working hours, a lot of effort, and so much attitude. We are about to launch our 10 songs and we are ready to record. This is just a demo of what will be our first album: "Hermanos de guerra" (War brothers), enjoy it, with all our hearts, this is for you and all the World, our Mexican Celtic Punk"
Jimmy Attack (La Fiesta del Diablo) and Pablo Riguetti (Aires Bastardos) have been working hard on a compilation featuring folk-punk bands from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Mexico: "Compilado Latinoamérica folk-punk2018". Pablo told me about their project some months ago and I gave some leads to them.
Finally, the album is ready on YouTube and will be available for purchase and download soon. I'm glad to see this kick-ass compilation out. You'll find bands you're familiar with (Lugh, RATS, La Fiesta del Diablo, McMiners, Punching Namard, Lucky Seven or Raise My Kilt) and brand new bands (Aires Bastardos, Gypsy Vanner, Cochinillas Alcohol Club, Index Of, The Celtas Ride Again, No Pibe, Bestiariö or Seven Rats Piper).

The Celtic punk scene is alive and kicking in Brazil. Little by little, new bands are established in other countries such as Argentina or Chile. But so far we have only heard of a couple of (Celtic) folk-punk bands in Mexico, Lucky 7 and Old Drunks.
El Batallón de San Patricio is a 6 piece band from Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. They just played their debut gig last Sunday.

Cooperativa Pascual is a punk band from Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico). They are influenced by The Clash (UK), Bad Religion (USA), Bérurier Noir (France) and La Polla (Spain).
They love Irish Punk and they have played some shows covering Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly's songs, with some fiddle and banjo guests.
