Well Paddy Rockers It is that time of the year again, that being St. Patrick’s Day. I lamented long and hard, as I do every year as to how I could make this years Podcast awesome and amazing. The it occurred to me, I would just do what I do best and bring you the very best Celtic Rock and Punk I can. I have been trying to look for ways to keep the show fresh, I have found it. I am going to make the podcasts so they are fun for me to do again! I love Celtic Punk, I love Celtic Rock, I love Trad I love it all.. And soon you will too. So I was undecided how to approach the Best of 2016 from a Podcast perspective this year. They are always lengthy and I don’t suspect most people listen to anything over to hours, in fact going forward we might try more frequent 1 hour shows. Welcome to Episode #25 of The Grinning Beggar’s Paddy Rock Podcast.. Now that Labor Day has finally passed the shit is really going to hit the fan! September is the gslast hurrah of festival season on the East Coast and I am involved with 2 of them this year; the Celtic Craic Music Festival in Harrisburg, PA September 10, 2016 and then The Greater Danbury Irish Festival Sept 16-18, 2016. While on the smaller side, they still both feature excellent talent and you should be getting out to both to show your support. Today’s show though highlights what has quickly become of of the best festivals in North America, and that is Get Shamrocked in Murrieta California. This event take place September 23 & 24, 2016

So this is not any ordinary Podcast this month, not only is it to feature the awesome talent from Get Shamrocked, it is also Fancast #2. Shawn, a great friend and supporter of Paddy Rock over the years, came up with the idea of doing past and present.  So I figured being that I have been putting up a show every year for the past few for the festival it jived with me instantly. BUT the evil truth is, I did not really wanna publish it.. Not yet anyway!  Don’t get me wrong it’s a great episode, but Shawn was sooo excited for this Podcast I procrastinate as much as I could.. …Now the Party can begin ! 

Originally this episode was meant to be released around Father’s Day, but as we know life happens often and it has happened again. It’s been just about a month since the last show was been posted, and a lot has happened.  Most notably I tore my bicep which really held things up a bit, its quite hard doing anything one handed, especially a Podcast. Also I had my very first Paddy Rock Presents show at the Danbury Irish Cultural Center, and we have a second lined up for July 23 at the same location, which will feature Alternative Ulster (NY), The Mighty Ploughboys (CT) and Mickey Rickshaw (MA). And lastly PaddyRock met it’s Pledge Drive goal for the year but I have finally ordered the shirts, so sorry for the delay..  again, arm issues. They should be to me within 3 weeks and to you all shortly after. Along with the shirts also come the Fancasts and this particular Episode is the first of a good many of them this year. The first half of the show was provided by Jeff Steele and the second half by my friend William Little. Both are outstanding playlists and I very happy that the fans take such an interest in the show. Without all of you I would be nothing so again, Thank you! Happy Weekend All!

I am stoked to be back with a new Podcast this month. With Victoria Day (aka May 2-4) in Canada this weekend and Memorial Day next weekend here in the United States now seemed like an awesome time to throw out a new Episode to assist you with your partying and / or camping adventures (That’s a Canadian thing). If your plans are just to sit at home make, sure that by the end of the weekend everyone in your neighborhood know what Paddy Rock is! 

Now onto the music!! I have a lot of new music to share with you this month. Sometimes I like to play catch up, this is one of those times!
