SIR REG is the Band of the Year 2010. They were voted by you and they were at the top of Paddyrock's list too.
SIR REG has recently created a Reverbnation website. Apart from that, these are the latest news about the band (taken from SIR REG's blog and SIR REG's YouTube site):
"Things have been quite slow lately at camp SIR REG. All the weekends (and even weekdays) have been and will be pretty much booked with shows for some SIR REG members, as they perform as Banshee Bones (playing Irish covers and celtic folk punk).
Palle has been editing some moving images and sounds from the tour with The Misfits. Here Dez Cadena (Black Flag / Misfits) joined us on stage in Stavanger, Norway for the last song of the set. What a blast it was!:
SIR REG (feat. Dez Cadena) - Feck The Celtic Tiger - Live in Stavanger, Norway, September 10th 2010
SIR REG got the priviledge to support The Misfits on their European tour in 2010. It was an amazing ride that lasted three weeks. After about a week Misfits guitarist Dez Cadena asked if he could join us on stage on the last song. "Sure!". We rehearsed a few times with acoustic guitars and handclaps at the Stavanger harbor in the september sun. When he entered the stage in the last song of our set we all felt an injection of energy (that hopefully is visible/audible). A great night!
The following two weeks he would repeat this procedure and join us on stage, in Norway, Finland and in Germany.
Filmed by Christian Nusser (back) and Robert Berntsson (up close). Editing and mastering by Palle Svensson / SIR REG.
Although, SIR REG have been rehearsing (and listening to) new songs. Brendan have a whole treasury chest of unrehearsed songs. Juba and Palle are also chiming in with a few songs of their own. It’s pretty exciting! We have also had a bit of discussion on what direction we feel that we SIR REG is/should be heading musically – what makes each and everyone in the band tick. If we should sum it up in two words it would be “good songs”. As of now it’s up to us to see what sounds good and what doesn’t sound so good. It’s our job and duty to make it sound good. We have to make the upcoming full length album better than our last EP.
Maybe we will post a few ideas/tasters for you to listen to. Who knows?
Palle"
