"Seven Little Sisters were a folk band really, although a bit more modern than most folk bands.They had a bass and drums in some of their songs. They did a few songs based on folk tunes with different words as well as their own work.
They were mainly based in the midlands of the UK, around Derby and Nottingham. Sometime between 1993 and 1997 they broke up.
Sometime about 1997 they re-formed with a few new members.

Two members of the band Woody (named after the band's key influence Woody Guthrie), John Leonard and Paul Robinson, were members of the now defunct Seven Little Sisters. Tours to Austria with the Seven Little Sisters were common in the nineties. Described as roots rock with an Irish flavour this band were hugely successful and in high demand for years

It is TRUE that SLS have reformed with the full 'Cow Trousers' line up:
Jon Harris - vocals & guitars

Mike Brookes - drums
We have no gigs booked as yet, we are rehearsing and writing new material for the next album.....But we will definitely be doing some Nottingham warm up gigs towards the end of the summer which will HOPEFULLY culminate in a December gig at The Rescue Rooms.
