Pipes and Pints are working on new album with Darian Rundall
Two and a half years after the release of debut, full-length album, Pipes and Pints, with original lineup intact, are going back to the studio once again to record new material composed since then. Band are going to release 10 to 12 tracks carefully chosen from all the songs we have ready.
The recording session is scheduled for three upcoming weeks in April at Sun Studio with engineer Michal Senbauer. As producer and mix-master, his first time in the Czech Republic, we have Darian Rundall from the US working with us. Darian is a close associate of such labels as Epitaph and Hellcat Records and he has worked with bands like Pennywise, US Bombs, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more.
Darian is going to stay in Prague to spend a few pre-production days with us and observe the recording sessions at Biotech. Mixing will be finished back at his home studio in California, with online conference calls with the band. As a result of this cooperation, the band expects some major progress in the sound quality of the new record and also in the sound at live shows.
The release is scheduled for October 2012 followed by a week tour through the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and Austria. And a month long tour through Western Europe. During the summer festival season 2012 the band is going to release some singles from the record at chosen festivals. These will also be available to hear at online streaming services and for purchase and download at iTunes.
