"We are Palomino from New York City. We're about to release our debut EP and accompanying music video we'd love for you to check out. A lot of our songs have a Celtic, trad, and Irish ballad influences. (check out the middle part of our music video for Ponte Vecchio for a good example)
Other influences incude Neil Young, The Replacements, The Clash and The Lemonheads.
The aim of the EP and the band in general is to get to the heart of the songs without the frills.
The CD release show/party is February 17th at Ella in New York City. "
Biography:
Palomino was founded in 2010. Based out of Brooklyn NY, drummer Mike Sweeney and guitarist/vocalist Elijah Campbell combine elements of alternative, punk, folk, country, and classic rock. In 2012 the band released a video for their first single “Ponte Vecchio” directed by Jonathan Hansen and the creative forces behind the web series Pioneer One. They are set to release their first EP in early 2012.
