3 DAFT MONKEYS - SEPTEMBER 2011 NEWS

"Phewee, what a summer. We’ve had such an amazing time, so many memories of so many wicked gigs and frolicking audiences. Thank you so much for being the bestest audiences ever. And not too much mud either (well quite a lot, but we’ve forgotten it already in a haze of music and partying). And plenty of sunshine too. It’s been amazing to see what a diversity of people we have drawn to the dance-floor this summer, you’re certainly an interesting and beautiful bunch of primates to watch from our raised podium.

Your response to our new line-up and songs has been fabulous, so thanks again for being so wonderful. We’ve really enjoyed leaping off stages after our shows to meet you all, it’s been great fun.

We’ll be putting some pictures up from the summer on our website in the next few weeks, so keep checking.

LOTS of things to tell you…

We´re releasing a single on November 6th

We’ve jiggled around and re-recorded your favourite song of the summer “Days of the Dance” and we’ve been lucky enough to have it mixed by Jim Lowe who works with the Stereophonics and Amy McDonald amongst others. Athene and Lukas have put a whole string section on it, and it sounds absolutely epic, which we feel is fitting for such a dramatic song. We can’t wait for you to hear it. It will be available as a download on 6th November ready for the tour. We’ll also be making a video, so watch this space.

Tickets on sale for our November tour

Tickets are on sale for ALL the venues now so check out the dates on our website and the bottom of this page, and we’ll dance our way through the autumn breezes. Richie will be joining us on percussion for the whole tour so you’ll get the full “4-monkey” extravaganza

Street Teams Needed

Do you live in any of the towns we’re playing on our tour. We’re looking for people who can put up posters in shops/ universities/ cafes and all the places the right kind of groovy people will see them. In return we can give you a free ticket for you and a friend to come to the show. If you’re interested please email us at info@dmfmusic.co.uk and let us know which show you can advertise, your home address and email."
