Hello and Happy New Year!
We're kicking off 2011 by returning to a bunch of our favorite venues in January. Our tour starts at The Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, NH (January 20th), and continues throughout the Northeast before we embrace our inner snow-birds and head south for a few weeks. We're in the process of demoing and road-testing new songs, and we're heading back to the studio (finally!) in late March.
We're really excited about the upcoming tour, and to top it all off we're getting the chance to do something we've never done before: hopping on a cruise ship down to the Caribbean! As if that wasn't already awesome enough, we'll be joining a ton of legendary, iconic artists including Steve Earle, John Prine, Richard Thompson, Patti Griffin, The Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile and many, many more. Here's hoping we can weasel our way into some late-night jam sessions!
Of course, there are still tickets available for our trip to Germany this summer! Come jump on the tour bus and we'll get into all kinds of trouble together. There's nothing like wandering the streets of Munich, or drinking a one-litre glass of cold hefeweizen in the courtyard of Heidelberg Castle. Best of all, your trip includes admission to Folk Im Schlosshof, an incredible Celtic music festival held on the grounds of a Bavarian Castle in a truly beautiful 12th century town. Don't miss out!
In the meantime, it's still very cold and snowy, so the ETH Community Initiative is continuing to collect dry and non-perishable goods and warm clothing which we're delivering to local shelters and food banks. If you're coming out to a show, grab something out of your cupboard on the way - every bit helps! Thanks in advance.
