PRESGGANG - New CD "Outlandish"

(Taken from the band's MySpace page)

NEW CD "OUTLANDISH" IS NOW AVAILABLE

Good news from Vox Pop HQ is that the new CD "Outlandish" is starting to have the desired effect and there's a lot more interest in supporting the band playing live, so we have some dates up on the myspace page. A couple more have to be firmed up but should also happen. We really want to show the promoters that you are out there. The recent gigs have been ones where you people have been travelling and meeting up just like in the past and the buzz has been great. If this happened in London they would be blown away.

EASY TO BUY CDS

The new CD can be brought using Paypal and there's a button link on the myspace page. But if you havent got Paypal, just email for an address to send cash or a cheque. Alternatively you can send a cheque to Vox Pop. Please contact us on here to get an address. Some people prefer to send cash which is fine, but it is your risk so wrap it up carefully. Anyone wanting to pay in other currencies, please contact us for a price.

You can also by from i-Tunes and CDBaby.com as other ways in which you can download tracks, if you prefer to do that.

OUTLANDISH TRACKS

There are 9 tracks in all on the album, 3 re-recorded and totally new arrangements of songs that were on our first vinyl album, plus 6 new tracks

The Gypsy Bride
Outlandish Knight
The Blackbird
Nobleman's Wedding
Bonny Ship the Diamond
Goode Ale
Dorset 4 hand Reel + Pwt-ar-y-bys+Pant Corlan yr Wyn
Raggle Taggle Gypsies

"Outlandish" challenges the way that some right wing types moan about "foreigners" and trying to keep their culture "pure" but then go home to tuck into a kebab or curry, around their christmas tree whilst talking a language that mostly comes from Italy, Germany and France!

We are really excited about the album, its got loads of big chorusses for you to sing along to, loads of energy, radically re-written takes on some of the oldest ballads, stories, dance rhthyms, and hopefully a great live feel. It might not get us in to the Radio 2 Folk Awards, but hey!

So we hope to announce a few more dates for the new year. If you have a venue or know of one that would be interested in having us to play, then get in touch. More news on that soon.
