This sampler features four bands from Canada.


The Tartan Hearts are from Calgary, Alberta. They are six members that play a Bagpipes punk that you will enjoy if you like, for instance, The Real McKenzies.

They released their debut album last year:

The Shillelaghs are also from Alberta. Other six musicians that make their own Celtic punk with accordion and mandolin.

Banshee's Wail are a five piece from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I'm not sure if they are still active, but their Celtic rock also deserves to be heard. Instruments include mandolin and fiddle.
