BOOTLEG - NECK

A lot of ROIOS have been posted till now, and no Neck boot yet. I thanks John M. for sharing this!

This is a live recording when the band played with Black 47 some years ago. In fact, Black 47´s piper plays flute in a song.

Enjoy!

Info from Neck about this recording:

"This is a recording from Friday, November 19th 2004 at The Gas Yard in Derry, when Neck supported NYC's Black 47 on their Irish tour.

Black 47's piper, Joseph Mulvanerty, actually plays Irish flute on the set of Traditional Reels 'The Maid behind the Bar / The Sally Gardens', but it's Neck's own piper, Stephen Gara, playing Uilleann pipes throughout.

The full line-up of the band at the time was actually:

Stephen Gara - Uilleann pipes, Banjo & Backing Vocals
Teresa Walsh - Tin Whistle and Backing Vocals
Marion Gray - Fiddle
Leeson O'Keeffe - Lead Vocals and Guitar
Wispy 'Guido' McCracken - Bass and Backing Vocals
Mark Garfield - Drums and Backing Vocals

which is the line-up in the 'Pool Room' photo - taken, funnily enough, by current Neck Tin-whistler, Sara-Lou Bowrey...)

And the Uncredited track Number 6 is actually called 'Caoimhe's Coming Over'.

+ a bit of Neck Trivia: - Stephen Gara met his now wife, Lindsay Clark, the night before this gig in the hotel bar in Galway...ah...

Hope this all helps..."

Current line-up:

Leeson O'Keeffe - Vocals/Guitar
Sara-Lou Bowrey - Tin Whistle & Vocals
Brendan Stitch - Bass
Kieran Power - Drums
James Gavin - Fiddle
