PIPES AND PINTS - ST. Patrick's Gigs

This is the info from London Celtic Punks about the London Gig:

"SAINT PATRICKS WEEKEND GIG!

Another Guinness and (Irish) whiskey fuelled night of celtic-punk on the Saturday after St Patricks Day. March 19th, with debut London show from Pipes and Pints from Prague in the Czech Republic...

"Pipes And Pints continue to combine Punk Rock and Rock 'n' Roll with dirty folk and are always looking for new ways to keep their music fresh. Brisk guitars, supported by the sometimes dreamy, sometimes raw ...sound of Highland Bagpipes, are complemented by the expressive performance of singer Syco Mike from San Diego"

And from the deep sarf of London its Drunken Balordi...

"Imagine if Joe Strummer and Shane McGowan were having a drink when they were joined by a band of Gypsy Folk musicians from the Balkans and in their inebriated state started jamming. Well imagine no more, the incarnation lives on in Drunken Balordi"

and opening the night, half from longford and half from london, with some noisy hardcore punk rock its Poisoned Legacy
think thats it...

The gig's at Mannions Prince Arthur and is Tottenhams premier Irish boozer and is only 5 minutes walk from Seven Sisters tube station on the Victoria line.(when you arrive at Seven Sisters tube follow the signs on the platform for the buses. When you leave the barriers check the signs again for Broad Lane and when you leave the station that's the road that runs alongside the Tesco. Mannions is just a wee walk and is painted green and cannot be missed)

Doors open at 8.bands at 9.open till 2 at least or maybe later, depends on the landlord!

Celtic-punk disco after the bands, playing anything Irish we can think of!

It's also guaranteed to be the cheapest pint you'll drink at a gig in ages!

Need to publicise this gig far and wide as we need a decent crowd to pay the bands a fair whack. Remember this all DIY so we make no money. All money goes to pay the PA and the bands.

So please forward it to anyone you think may be interested.
cheers.
